So here's my blinkie collection! I figure eventually I'll probably try to figure out how to have a little side scroll section on each page to show off relevant blinkies, but for now this is where I'm housing mine.

From my (admittedly pretty lacking) knowledge of old geocities, they were & are used as website decoration and as a way for visitors to learn about the website's administrator, be it what they're interested in, what they're like, that sort of stuff. So, if you're my age and are more used to the format of deviantArt stamps, they're pretty much like that.

The whole process of putting together a collection of images that (usually) function similarly to an "About me" page is something I find very endearing? To quote Marge Simpson: I just think it's neat. Additionally, they're such a neat feature from 00's to early 10's web culture that I can't help but be kind of fascinated by them. Hence why a good chunk of these don't have the most High Quality visuals...On that note though, I *am* is that there's a couple of blinkies in my collection that are... Uh. Not good for the eyed balls? I want to eventually include some sort of separate page stopping point that says something to the degree of "Eyestrain ahead".
